With about 800 teams from 15 nations, this is Sweden's second biggest youth football tournament. During this weekend, the whole town comes down with a bad case of football fever – enthusiastic parents, coaches and kids come to Piteå from all over the world. Join us!

In the fall of 2024, she and the band are doing a common thing with Norrbotten Big Band.
- I love being on tour. It is on stage that music becomes real and it feels so luxurious to make my songs in a completely new way together with Norrbotten Big Band. They are absolutely incredible and I get extremely excited just by the thought of what we will be able to do together. God, we're going to have so much fun!, says Linnea Henriksson.
Her music has been played over 200 million times on Spotify and she has received prestigious awards such as P3 Gold (Artist of the Year 2012, Pop of the Year 2019), Alice Babs Jazz Scholarship in 2015 and was named Folkets hus och parker's Ulla Billquist scholarship holder in 2016. In addition to music, she has also popular as a presenter and has led Musikhjälpen several times, Melodifestivalen 2020 and most recently the series Den blomstertid 2023.
In April 2023, Linnea Henriksson released her latest album Det Lilla, which was described as pop music I really missed (Per Magnusson, Aftonbladet) and as inviting and sincere - but not least it is seductively beautiful (Hugo Göthberg, Nöjesguiden). In the late spring that followed, she took the music out on the road on the acclaimed small tour. An idea from herself where she wanted to create more stops on the Swedish tour map by attracting new people, organizers as audience, to the stage. In total, there were 22 stops for Linnea Henriksson and her band, which stretched to all possible stages from Kristianstad to Skellefteå. As a live performer, she is one of the most appreciated for her audience connection and can make any stage her own.

It all started in 2014 with a shared love for timeless melodies – and coffee! The following year, the debut album Elvis in Swedish was released: Elvis songs in Swedish, fittingly in playful arrangements for the unmistakable Miss Elvis sound. The concept proved to be a hit. The album placed on the Swedish album chart and for several years the band toured non-stop, played to sold-out houses and broke several ticket sales records.

Now challenging music was written for the orchestra, a strict rehearsal schedule was established, pressure was put on the musicians for presence and delivery at a high level. And suddenly a powerful big band arose that put Norrland on Sweden's music map!
- It was an extremely rewarding time. I saw great potential in the orchestra with so many young musicians and promising soloists hungry for new music. Later we moved to Luleå and had the chance to meet a larger audience. There we ended up in the same premises as the Norrbottensteatern and a fantastic time ensued, says Örjan Fahlström.
The band continued to be successful and the next man on the desk was the American trumpeter Tim Hagans. The year was 1996 and the world opened up to the band. Now tours were organized in the USA and famous guests joined the band. Hagans tells us from the USA:
- My biggest goal was to bring Norrbotten Big Band's music outside Sweden's borders. I enjoyed every moment with the incredible musicians, both on and off stage. As well as getting to meet the smiling, knowledgeable audience. Their appreciation and enthusiasm was truly inspiring. Also producer Mirka Siwek was a key person for many years, without her it would never have become what it was. The whole thing was a magnificent experience.
So now Fahlström and Hagans will once again compose each piece for the band. We dare to promise exciting music at a sky-high level. And if we're really lucky, we also get to enjoy them both as instrumentalists there on stage as well. At least that's the rumor...
Örjan Fahlström is born in the area, vibraphonist and lecturer in composition at the Academy of Music in Stockholm.
Tim Hagans is an American trumpet player with numerous famous collaborations and a high number of Grammy nominations on his CV.
