Acusticum Talks

Together towards the future - Young people's mental health as a key to a sustainable society

A third of Piteå's young people have felt unwell in the past year and 16 percent have felt so unwell that they have had suicidal thoughts. The fact that our young people are feeling unwell is a worrying trend that requires our full attention. Now we invite you to an Acusticum Talks that highlights the initiative For a better Piteå - a powerful investment in young people's well-being. Together with you, we want to create a movement that contributes to the well-being of Piteå's young people. This is the starting point. We hope you want to join us.

Monday, April 14, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM, Stora salen, Studio Acusticum

On stage:

Klas Bergling, founder of the Tim Bergling Foundation, talks about the work for young people's well-being and the investment For A Better Day in which music plays a significant role.

Ullakarin Nyberg, psychiatrist and one of Sweden's leading researchers in suicide prevention, talks about how we can contribute to a society where young people feel better.

Johan Oljeqvist, CEO of Fryshuset, talks about the vision of letting young people change the world through their passions and how it works in practice.

The Youth Council from Strömbacka School and Christina School will participate on stage and ask questions to the panel.

Organist Helena Holmlund will perform Avicii's songs on Orgel Acusticum, together with Anders Edström, vocals and electronic music by Hans Lennart Joncell

Studio Dansa and Christina School's dance class will offer a dance performance.

More information about For a better Piteå

The initiative is supported by Piteå Science Park, Piteå Näringsfastigheter and Piteå Municipality. The goal is to contribute to a powerful movement for young people's mental health and bring together those who are already working on these issues. A long-term goal is to enable financing for a meeting place for young people in the Acusticum area, a place where culture, sports, education and innovation work together to strengthen the well-being of young people.
