International EU-projects

For many years, Piteå has completed several projects that have been partly funded by the EU. Some examples of this are Acusticum and Solander Science Park. Between 2004-2009 EU support amounted to over 47 million kronor and included projects with the Municipal Administrative Office, Child and Education, Labour Market and Adult Education and Culture and Leisure

European Voluntary Service (EVS)

Did you know that young people between 18 and 30 years old can travel in Europe and work as volunteers for up to a year? You get a lot of experience, work record, new friends ... maybe even a new language. EU pays for the travel, accommodation, food and pocket money.

Norrsken

A large group of men and women are currently unemployed and far from the labour market. People in this group are long-term unemployed and/or on sick leave and have a great need for assistance to find their way to work and self-sufficiency.
