Infjärden
In this charming area, there is a wide selection of small, quaint villages that together promote the tranquil and beautiful countryside of Norrbotten County in northern Sweden. A peaceful atmosphere blankets the villages, much like the soft blanket of snow that turns the green meadows into sparkling white landscapes in winter.
The surroundings around Infjärden are also very beautiful, with dense forests and stunning nature. There are several trails and hiking routes around the lake for those who want to explore nature and enjoy the beautiful views of the water. Infjärden is also a cultural place with many established villages in the vast landscape, each with its own characteristic features. But what is similar in each village in Infjärden is the numerous historical remains, open agricultural landscapes, and the traditional red-painted Norrbotten farms that characterize the countryside. For those with children or young people, there are many options. In Infjärden, there are a total of 8 preschools, with 5 of them in Sjulnäs and Roknäs, serving over 300 students, 2 in Lillpite, and 1 in Svensbyn, each with about 100 students.
Activities
During the summer, dedicated volunteers organize activities for Midsummer celebrations. According to tradition, children are picked up by a horse-drawn cart and taken to the party venue. During the day, flowers and leaves are gathered for the maypole, and when it's raised, it's time for lunch! After lunch, people gather again for dancing and games, enjoying each other's company.
Infjärden is also a very popular destination for outdoor activities and fishing, with a wide variety of fish species such as perch, pike, roach, and trout. Pike fishing is particularly popular, and there is plenty of it in the local lake. For those interested in skiing, the popular ski slope Vallsberget is available, with a couple of family-friendly slopes and a relaxing restaurant after the day's end.
