In Jävre, you'll find a little bit of everything. If you have a fondness for nature, you're always close to forests, mountains, and the sea. There are opportunities to explore various hiking trails, both easier and more challenging routes, as well as terrains. During winter, you also have access to skating and classic skiing in the village's ski tracks, which serve as an excellent fitness trail during the summer months. There are also a variety of activities for those with children or, why not, for the actively sports inclined. You can choose from activities such as hockey, football, beach volleyball, tennis, and boules. For football enthusiasts looking to join a club, there's an association called Södra United. If you have children from preschool to grade 6, you don't need to worry about long distances to a school, as there's one in the village.
Jävre is suitable for both families with children and those who don't want to live right in the city but still want easy commuting via the E4 motorway. If you've chosen to work in Piteå or Skellefteå, it's not a significant obstacle to commute. There's a local grocery store, so you don't have to worry about traveling far for your weekly groceries. The opportunity to sit down at a café or restaurant is available for both families and older individuals who want to socialize in a peaceful environment.
The village is widely known for Bea's Smokehouse and Harbour Café, considered the heart of the village, offering everything from shrimp sandwiches to homemade pastries. Visitors not only enjoy the delicious menu but also the beautiful views of the sea, harbour, and landscape.
Tourists often seek out the renowned Jävrefyren (Jävre Lighthouse), which is centrally located in the village along with the well-visited campground. In this area, residential plots are currently being developed in the Lekattheden housing area. There's also a local history museum that showcases the region's history, where you can also sit down for a cup of coffee or some baked goods.
For the religiously inclined, there's a church full of activities for both the young and adults, offering opportunities to meet and socialize together.
